Homophones

 

Homophones are words that have exacly the same sound but differnt meanings. For exaple: "new" and "knew".

 

                 I knew it was time to pack up and go home.

 

                 I got a new pair of sneakers. 

 

It is important to identify a homophone so that you know what the sentence is saying.
